Everyone is looking for a fun way to root out movies you might not have seen ever or recently. A way I keep things fresh is by looking at what films came out on this day in history. The list I've compiled here are some of the ones that stood out to me. If you're looking for a more extensive list, definitely check out Cinefania. It's a Spanish website, but they list out daily most of the big movies released day by day. Just bookmark and you'll never run out of suggestions on what to watch. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
When ghostly pirate Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) comes to collect a blood debt, Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) must find a way to avoid his fate lest his soul be damned for all time. Nevertheless, the wily ghost manages to interrupt the wedding plans of Jack's friends Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley).

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
In a globe-trotting assignment that has him skiing off the edges of cliffs and driving a car deep underwater, British super-spy James Bond (Roger Moore) unites with sexy Russian agent Anya Amasova (Barbara Bach) to defeat megalomaniac shipping magnate Karl Stromberg (Curt Jurgens), who is threatening to destroy New York City with nuclear weapons. Bond's most deadly adversary on the case is Stromberg's henchman, Jaws (Richard Kiel), a seven-foot giant with terrifying steel teeth.

An undercover cop in a not-too-distant future becomes involved with a dangerous new drug and begins to lose his own identity as a result.

The Brides of Dracula (1960)
A young baron who has inherited the Dracula curse is kept locked away by his mother to hide the family secret - although she does procure for him an occasional victim. However, when he breaks out of his castle prison, she becomes a victim herself, and the undead lad takes flight to terrorize the local village and rampage through a girls' school before a specialist is called in.

The Mummy's Ghost (1944)
An ancient curse that has survived for 3,000 years is coming to America! In ancient Egypt, the princess Ananka and lowly commoner Kharis fell in love and pledged themselves eternally to each other. Although buried together, Kharis is given a sacred potion that grants him eternal life - and an eternity to search for his lost love. Lon Chaney, Jr. as Kharis and John Carradine as an Egyptian priest star in this engaging story of a couple's true love that survives the centuries and the unending curse that haunts them. The Mummy's Ghost unearths hope for romantics everywhere with its surprising finale!
