Things Get Dangerous in Underwater Clip - Out Today in All Formats

Underwater hits home entertainment options today, giving the movie another chance at getting in front of viewers that avoided it in the theaters.

Maybe all the time stuck at home will help get some more eyes on it. Honestly, I've watched the clips and trailer and it looks like an entertaining distraction from our real world problems right now.

The following clip we are posting makes the movie look like it has quite a bit in common with The Abyss or Sphere. I'm not expecting the film to be as good as The Abyss, but I'm sure it's worth a look if you're into sci-fi action flicks if you're not too picky.

Disaster strikes more than six miles below the ocean surface when water crashes through the walls of a drilling station in Underwater. Led by their captain, the survivors realize that their only hope is to walk across the sea floor to reach the main part of the facility. But they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they come under attack from mysterious and deadly creatures that no one has ever seen.

William Eubank (The Signal) directed Underwater from a script by Brian Duffield (Insurgent) and Adam Cozad (The Legend of Tarzan). It stars Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel and John Gallagher Jr. The movie is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action and terror, and brief strong language.
