Nostalgia is the Name of the Game in First Ghostbusters: Afterlife Trailer [VIDEO]

Some old newsreel footage from one of the first two movies is the only look we get of the original cast in the first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Just want to get that out of the way immediately so your expectations aren't too high going into this. The characters are talked about, hinted at, and we even get a chance to see the jumpsuits and the Ecto-1 - but that's it. What we do get to witness is a small town being harassed by something supernatural as Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and company wonder what it is. The entire atmosphere of this sneak peek into the movie feels nothing like the previous films in the franchise. It suggests a much more personal tale that will take place far away from the noisy, busy streets of New York City. All this being said, the trailer is pretty cool. Check it out after the jump.

When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will haunt theaters on July 10, 2020.
