Ellen Ripley Almost Hunted The Predator

If you haven’t gotten around to seeing The Predator yet, which is now available on home video, you should know that it has a totally insane ending that sets the stage for a crazy sequel. But the ending was almost even more ludicrous than the one that ended up in theaters, and it would have brought the Predator franchise back around to its rivalry with the Alien franchise.

Bird Box Gives Netflix Its Best Week Ever

Netflix doesn’t usually like to give away their statistics, but in the case of Bird Box, they’re making an exception. According to the streaming giant itself, Bird Box viewers have totaled more than 45,000,000 so far, giving the Sandra Bullockhorror flick the “best first 7 days ever for a Netflix film.” That’s both surprising, and impressive. Hopefully Netflix will reward the birds in the box with some birdseed.

Your Name U.S. Remake Coming

It’s the word that we all dread when we hear about a Hollywood remake of a wildly successful foreign-language property: “Americanized.” Often it comes with the territory of making an English-language remake of a foreign movie — after all you have to cater to your audience. But for Bad Robot, which is currently developing the U.S. Your Name remake with Arrival writer Eric Heisserer attached, it’s a tricky line to walk in lieu of a history of bad anime remakes and recent controversies around whitewashing.

Titans Post-Credit Scene Discussed

Given how the grim-dark DC Universe drama’s inaugural season has progressed, many people likely assumed that Titans year one would end with former Robin Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), who spent the season struggling with his darkness, taking Donna Troy’s (Conor Leslie) advice and becoming something else — specifically Nightwing, the superhero alter-ego he creates after he leaving Batman’s side in the comics. If not that, there was definitely an expectation that we’d at least finally see Dick, Rachel (Teagan Croft), Gar/Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), and Kory/Starfire (Anna Diop) live up to the show’s name and become, well, the Titans. But, that wasn’t the case.
