Comic Book Review: Batman #9 and #10
Batman issues #9 and #10 continue a new trend of throwing Batman into a team scenario where he must work with unlikely allies to take on an epic foe. Of course it's a Suicide Squad type lineup, which is only expected with the promotional machine geared up for the movie to hit home in a few weeks. It is exciting to see the Dark Knight relentlessly take on Bane once again in issue #10. Writer Tom King has done an outstanding job expanding the villain's history and growing him as a character. Mikel Janin's artwork is full of wonderful shading and exciting panels of breathtaking action.
Batman has always been crazy…but this? This is suicide! In order to retrieve Psycho-Pirate and save Gotham Girl, Batman must recruit a team from Amanda Waller to break into the most impenetrable prison in the world and steal from one of the Dark Knight’s greatest foes… Bane. Are they ready for the most dangerous mission of their lives? As the Dark Knight prepares his squad to infiltrate Santa Prisca, he may find that it’s up to him alone to face Bane.
